To be certified organic Herbs must meet certain requirements. 

1. The land on which the herbs are grown must be certified (through inspection, examination and analysis of the state) to be free of pesticides, toxic chemicals and petrochemical fertilizers.  

2. The herbs must be grown without the use of pesticides, toxic chemicals and petrochemical fertilizers.
