How to get Ringlets
How to make Ringlets in hair

You can easily create spiral curls using loop rods . Creating spiral curls for either wash/wear or perm sets with the Lop Rods:

  1. Shampoo hair with Paul Brown Hawaii Ringlets shampoo, Rinse & Repeat
  2. Condition with Paul Brown Ringlets Conditioner, Rinse
  3. Pick through hair and apply Paul Brown Hawaii Ringlets Mist
  4. Section the hair into triangular sections and roll starting at the nape of the neck and working up to the top of the head. (you work "bottom -- UP" as it is easier to pin the hair up and let gravity hold the hair you just rolled down. If you work "top -- down" the loop rod you just finished rolling is in your way when you try to roll the hair below it.)
  5. Wrap the hair using an end paper to control ends and get a good curl at ends of hair
  6. Wet Sets on Spiral rods are temporary and TIGHTER  than  Perms
  7.
    • Temporary  spiral curlers: sit under a hairdryer or a heat lamp to dry hair
    • Permanent spiral curls:  we recommend you get perms done in your local salon
  8. After the hair is completely dry, remove the curlers and use your fingers or a wide toothed pick to carefully arrange the spiral curls.

Hints:

  • You may choose not to roll your entire head in spiral curlers. Instead, roll the underneath and curl the bangs and the top of the dry hair with a curling iron. This avoids "overly curled" look
  • The curling iron is a great life savor for last minute repairs and touch ups
  • Do not use a brush or comb on the spiral curls.
  • For extra lift  use a curling iron to carefully lift the base of the top curls
  • Try fixing your hair several times before the "event" to be sure you are comfortable with the results. The closer it gets the more pressure on you. So talk to your local salon in case you need a bail out on the big day. If it's a really big event its best to go to your salon.

Benefits of Kukui Nut Oil Tea Tree
Kukui Nut Oil Facts & History:
Hundreds of years ago Hawaiians discovered that the shell of the Kukui nut was removed and the kernels lightly roasted, that a clear oil could be pressed out. They found a wide variety of uses for this unique oil. They used the kernels as candles to create light, hence the nickname "candlenut." They also used the oil for protecting and preserving natural wood and when ingested as a way to help cleanse the body of impurities. Externally, Kukui Nut oil was discovered to be an excellent penetrating oil and was smoothed on the skin to soothe and soften dry skin. It also aided in healing sunburns and irritations, cuts, and scrapes. The oil was also applied to hair as a moisturizer that produced shiny, soft, gleaming results. The penetrating chrematistics of Kukui nut oil is due to its very low molecular weight, one of the lowest of available similar oils. As applied to the hair the low molecular weight allows the oil to penetrate the hair shaft like no other oil treatment can. The Kukui nut oil contains the essential fatty acids, lioleic and linolenic, at a high percentage than other popular oils used in  hair care today.
Pamitic Acid 6.5%
Steric Acid 2.4%
Oleic Acid 20.7%
Linoleic Acid 44.2%
Linlenic Acid 26.2%
